Temora is a great place to come to
and learn to
fly. The town welcomes and encourages aviators and enthusiasts of
all kinds, with regular events like Temora Museum flying weekends, aerobatic
and glider championships, gatherings of enthusiasts groups like SAAA,
Antique Aeroplane Association and many more. The weather is a lot more stable than the coast giving many
more uninterrupted flying training days a year.
Temora Aero Club
is a very active club with a fun atmosphere and friendly club
members who enjoy and promote safe and fun
flying.
One of the most important factors when learning to fly is
having instructors who can give you the knowledge and information you
need in a calm, relaxed manner. It's also very important that you and
your instructor get along, because you will be together in a cockpit
for quite a while. Our instructors approach flying training in a fun
and relaxed style, with an important emphasis on safety, while making
lessons as enjoyable as possible.
Temora aerodrome has three runways, with two sealed all weather
strips and one gravel.
Some of the local attractions are the
Temora
Aviation Museum ,
Temora Skydive, award winning
Temora Rural Museum and the township of Ariah Park known as "The Town of
Wowsers, Bowsers and Peppercorn Trees".
Temora
Airpark Estate has its own aviation community where you
may purchase property on the airport to build your own house and
hanger and live the aviation lifestyle you only dreamt about. |
