Sunday, September 26th, 2010 was a perfect day for the Club’s Open Day!
The rain had ceased, the sun was out and the wind nil. At around 9:00am some residents of the Aviation Estate started to bring their planes down to the parking area outside the club house and pegged them down for the day. By 11:00am inbound planes started to arrive from other aero clubs. By the end of the day we had planes that had come from a number of clubs in the area: Tumut, Wagga, Moruya and Sydney.
A BBQ at midday set the scene for visitors and club members to gather around and catch up with fellow aviators and happenings at other clubs.
We had a good line up with a variety of planes on display from Sal and Justin’s Luscombe to Sam Richard’s RV. There was a bit of competition between the two on who could get the best “shine”. Sal’s recent gift to Justin of a super duper polisher helped them “win”! What a shine!!!
A very Successful Day!!
