Big End of Year
06/07/08 11:09
We have had an interesting time over the past few
months, with lots of activity
in the club house and in the air. The recent vibration in the Tecnam was traced
to a problem in the gearbox related to the use of Avgas and once the repair
was made by the team from Rotax in Lilydale the Tecnam once again took to
the air, purring like a kitten.
There is another Jabiru J230 in the club now, with congratulations to Mitchell Ridley
from Burcher for his recent purchase. Check out the photos of the new arrival.

Wow what a year
03/06/08 18:57
G'day all
We have cracked 700 hours in the Tecnam, about 5 days shy of 12 months!!
Another record recently set was 6.5 hours flying in the Tecnam in one day,
this in winter with less daylight hours!
Student and pilot news: Local Temora club member Vic Rudd achieved his
Cross Country endorsement, along with Warren Priestley, who is currently
keeping his Jabiru J230 in the club hangar. Cootamundra club member
Scott Sharman achieved his first solo.
In other news, Air Commodore (retired) Rod Luke of Quandary achieved
his instructor rating, while local Lindsay Wallace has started instructor training
under Jill, Alan and Wally Rudin of Airwings Flying School. local milko
Jed Moroney has been bitten by the flying bug and had his second lesson
recently, heading home with the Tecnam grin.
Recent visitors to undertake training in the Tecnam include David Yee of
Mt Tomah, for a week of flying training along with another visit this week by
Warren Gerbes of Safety Bay in WA.
