Joys of living at an Air Park
31/05/07 08:08
The joys of living at an air park , you can park the
car in the shed
then go for a fly in the plane. None of this driving to an airport.

Tecnam finds a home
24/05/07 21:16
Early on Wednesday morning Alec flew Lindsay and
Allan to Moree
in JOE (the Clubs venerable 172 VH-JHO) to meet Bruce Stark
from Keystar Aviation. Over flying Moree we sighted our new
Tecnam Sierra 24-5065 resplendent in Tecnam blue and white
livery parked on the apron awaiting our arrival.
After a short exchange of pleasantries, Allan conducted a few
circuits with Bruce to get a feel for our new toy. Shortly after the
aircraft was tied down for the night and Bruce departed for
Southport in the demonstrator Tecnam Bravo.
Allan and Lindsay retired to the Pallamallawa Golden Grain Hotel
and settled in the for the State of Origin.
Thursday was a perfect day for their returnto Temora.
A departure at 10.45am and a slight headwind had them arriving
home from Moree 3.4 flying hours later to a welcoming party of
eager aero club members.
Following a detailed inspection by the club stalwarts, President
Rob Maslin flew a few circuits in the new aircraft and landed.
Climbing out of the cockpit with a grin on his face, but in the typical Maso
low key manner he stated, " Yeah, it flies okay." Thank goodness for that
after what has been a long but enjoyable 12 month journey for the Temora
Aero Club that has accumulated in the acquisition and delivery of this
wonderful aircraft.
